#21: CARDIO or METABOLIC CONDITIONING? Why they both SUCK for body composition.

LOL JOKES, Metabolic Conditioning is perfect its just painful.

πŸ’€πŸ’€CARDIO or Long Slow Distance (LSD) = BORINGπŸ’€πŸ’€

😷😷CONDITIONING or (HIIT) = GROSS 😷😷

No but seriously you need to choose wisely.

LSD training in particular is popular because people don’t want to get too muscly and bulking because thats what happened when their friend did weights once. The problem with this is A) your friends lying, or B) they ate way to much food.

The issue with LSD training like running is YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN PROPERLY, most likely.

Have you had technique coaching?

Do you get back/knee/ankle pain when you run?

Are you inflexible?

This is caused from a lack of strength, with your body and gravity acting on it, it can be upwards of 9x your body weight upon impact. If you can’t even squat your body weight how do you like your joints and muscle will like this?

if you only utilise this style of training you are not challenging your metabolism, because you’re never reaching an intensity when you become ANAEROBIC.
This will cause the body to utilise Exercise Post Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) to allow you to BURN FAT at REST!

This is shown in studies, higher intensity lower volume training will have a GREATER affect on BODY COMPOSITION and close to the same improvements in cardiovascular health.

Some studies have even hinted towards a greater endorphins release with metabolic training compare to LSD.

Not to mention how much more time efficient it is.
